New Year!

 Sunday, January 13, 2013

Gosh, it's been so long since I've written anything! I do apologize! It's been hectic. I've gotten a promotion (Yay!) and people rely on my for everything! I work at a coffee shop at the airport. I love coffee. I love my chai lattes and my iced matcha green tea lattes. But I wish it was as simple as drinking it.

Being a shift supervisor is not easy at all. People don't show up, they talk behind your back, they don't do anything they're supposed to, they complain about a TON of stuff you don't even have control over. It's insane. I love my job and wouldn't trade it for the world. But I do wish some people would grow up and be mature, responsible and hard working adults. Just like me, of course. :)

Anyways! For New Years, I decided I wanted to be more girly. Let me tell you this: when you move in with a loved one, you will gain weight and lose your good habits. I'm telling you! I gained 20 lbs, don't even dress up anymore. I wore pajama pants to get something at WORK yesterday! That's when I realized, "Wow! What's wrong with me?" I looked at my face in the mirror and honestly, I looked like a little tomboy-- not that there's anything wrong with that. But that's not who I am anymore. I'm not 10 anymore. I don't climb trees and rollerblade around my house. I'm a fully grown, 22 year old woman!

I decided to take care of myself. Starting with my weight. I went to Walmart in order to get a treadmill. But it wouldn't fit into my 03 Toyota corolla so I decided to buy kickboxing DVDs and a slimming belt so I can shed this weight off and keep it that way! That's the key point here. Losing and maintaining.

The kickboxing DVD, how do I say this? It's kicking my tooshie! I started yesterday and today, I feel like a rusty robot. Can't move my legs, can't bend down and don't even ask me to get you cup of ice water because my arms are so sore I don't know how I'm typing this right now. I love the DVD! I weighed myself, took pictures and decided to do the same every week. I was afraid to step on the scale. But built up courage when I told myself it was only temporarily.

I told my sister I was sore and she put me down by saying "you're going to give up!" What? Giving up is not an option. I've lost 56 lbs before. This is not hard for me. I guess I just wanted some words of encouragement so I decided to talk(complain) to my cousin instead. He told me to focus on what Brandon had to say, and no one else. He's right, Brandon's opinions are more important to me than anyone else's other than my own. I don't care if you think I'm ugly and fat. If Brandon and I are happy with the way I look, that's all I need.

My (shortly timed) lunch break is over. I have to go back to my children. For lunch I had water and a chocolate bar. Wondering why? http://www.self.com/blogs/flash/2012/02/why-you-should-eat-chocolate-t.html?mobify=0 --read this!

Xoxo,
Stephanie.

Crazy Red

 Wednesday, December 12, 2012

I love decorating anything! The reason why I love Christmas time so much! Last year, we didn't get anything. Money was tight. But this year, I got my tree as soon as Thanksgiving was over; since I don't skip holidays.Brandon helped me decorate our tree and I was so excited! But this year we got our tree!

So pretty! We only spent about $200 for everything. Target is amazing! We got a 6.5'  tall tree, 80(!!) ornaments, red and white lights and cute, silver star tree topper. I also bought a bunch of new tops, they were on sale and I was in need.
We then wrapped Byrnsie around the lights and begged her to sit still so we could take a picture. It totally worked on this one.

But not on this one! I was trying to get her to smell the ornament, which worked only until I clicked on the button to take the picture. Epic, it portraits exactly how Byrnsie is, I even entered a Belgian Malinois Christmas Picture Contest with this picture. Super adorable and funny.

Turns out, we won't be going to Massachusetts this year for Christmas. Our roommate is going to his home state and we can't take Byrnsie with us because she doesn't get along with other humans and I would never leave her here by herself. I don't mind her not being very social but it would be nice if she was a tad bit social with family. MIL and SIL were here for three days and she had mood swings, one minute she was fine, and then would start barking all of a sudden! I'm fine with it, I don't HAVE to go to Mass and I didn't even want to leave Byrnsie anyways, so it all worked out.

Everything has been so crazy lately. I got a new job and have been working my arse off to train, sleep, and have time to go out with MIL and SIL while they were here.  Also, I feel like Brandon and I have so many clothes! I have to do laundry every two days and I HATE doing it. So annoying! Quick, make me rich so I can have people do it for me! Thanks.  I just want to sleep all day long, eat a tons and be skinny.

Winter love

 Tuesday, November 27, 2012

I know it's early, but I love Christmas! Can you tell? The lights, the snow, winter activities, the cold, the need to cuddle, drinking hot chocolate while watching a good movie. Everything looks so clean and it's just beautiful!

I also like it because people dress more...appropriate? I love to be bundled up. During the summer, no matter what clothes you wear, if it's hot outside, you will get sweaty and feel gross. I hate sweat, the drips, how my hair itches, and the way it touches my back. You can't run away from the heat without having the ac on 63F.  But winter is awesome like that, you can wear beautiful heavy clothes and be warm, cozy, and elegant! I love scarves, the sweaters, the turtle necks, boots, leg warmers, and off course, my curly hair can be tamed!

Last year, we drove to Oregon for Christmas, Brandon's home state. Can I just say how much I loved Portland? It's beautiful! The city is clean, very organized,  no sales tax (hello, shopping) how we could see people in court from the big open window, the city is just amazing! Ok, I did see a lot of bums, like my sister in law warned me. But I can see myself living there, specially because of the weather. Rain all year long? I'll take a cup of that, please!

Portland 2011

This year we're doing something different-- East Coast here we come! I haven't seen my family in one year and I'm very excited! Brandon also has a couple of friends there so I bet he's also excited to get to get together with his former marine buddies too!  Sad thing is: we won't be able to take Byrnsie, my heart is already in pain! I don't wanna leave her. But it will only be for a couple of days and we will be right back!

I'm also hosting a Scentsy Party there! Most of my friends have no idea what Scentsy is and have to be introduced to the wonderful world of scents and warmers! We have awesome gift bundles -- it's perfect for everyone!

I'm looking to expand my team as well. If you're interested in hosting a pouch party (online party) or interested in joining my team, don't hesitate!  Email Me! right away, we can talk details, and goodies!

That's it for now folks! I'm going to make dinner, got the recipe on pinterest-- of course! Follow me there!

Here is the recipe. Credit to Southern Plate

Crash Day

 Monday, November 26, 2012

You know when coffee doesn't work anymore? It's like your body needs more, a little more something. But what?! I tried coffee, water, soda water, but nothing worked today. Today it was like I was meant to sleep all day long. Came home, ate, and slept. Now I'm here-- a little groggy, but I'm here-- trying to write about my addiction. My addiction to Pinterest, off course.

Yes, I'm addicted. Who isn't? Ok, maybe not everyone...

But I am-- BIG TIME! I don't remember when my addiction started, but it's here to stay.  I love home decor, food (duh), clothes, weddings (wink wink) and, last but not least-- SHOES!
At first, I was hesitant, because growing up, I always felt like I was going to be one of those women who refuse to learn how to cook. I didn't want to be seen as a housewife, no way! But then I fell in love. Funny how things change as soon as you meet the right one.

So now, I pin everything from beauty stuff to home decor. I pin everything I like. I click on stuff I don't like. I  ask my boyfriend to build me stuff from things I saw on there. Like a dog bed I saw. Byrnsie likes to sleep with us. At first, when she came into our house, I said no. No dogs in my bed! No way! I've never had a dog before and did not have a special relationship with them, they always seem to want to run after me. At least the little ones did. So I was a little hesitant. But then I fell in love with Byrnsie, and she likes to cuddle so I killed two birds with one stone!

Anyway... I saw a bed on Pinterest and asked Brandon to build her one, because she sheds a lot! I feel bad, You would be able to find my hair and Byrnsie's fur all over the house if we didn't clean it often! We saw the same bed I asked him to build on Etsy for  $150!

I'm not going to lie, I also love the fact Pinterest came up with secret boards. It's very convenient for those who want to plan a surprise party for anyone, OR, be like me: A girl in a relationship who doesn't want to be seen as a crazy girlfriend. So you know what I do? I have two secret boards (who are not secret anymore, just for my boyfriend). One called "Wedding craze" and one called "Future Kids". I pin everything I want in my fall wedding (yes, it will be a fall wedding, no, I'm not engaged) and our two little babies (we're even trying to have kids!) I think every woman at one point, thinks about having kids and a big wedding. So I'm no different than anyone else! Ha!

I'm going to try and post my favorite stuff I find on Pinterest on here because I like to share the love. Some of my friends and family refuse to go there! I don't understand why, but I respect them (No I don't). I shall convert them one day!

I'm done for today! I feel like I need [more] sleep. I forgot to put the link to my Scentsy page last time I was here! Duh, me!

So,  Click here if you want to order something! Scentsy make perfect Christmas gifts! Email me, or send me your email on the comments if you want to learn about my specials! :)

                                                                    I love my product!

I'm a Scentsy Independent Consultant.
No, this blog will NOT be all about Scentsy, and how it's safe for kids, animals, cheaper than candles, no soot, no wick, no ugly jar. :P

I love to write. Writing is my life. I do have to work on it-- never said I was good at it hehe-- But I'm working on it. I did have a blog when I was 15 years old. Yes, although I won't share it with anyone because it's embarrassing. LOL.

I like to have fun, to read, to listen to music, dance when no one is watching, watch movies, play with my doggie, to talk, to learn new things, to shop, to have fun at work (I do have lots of fun), do decorate my house and to take care of people.

I'm going to stop writing, because I'm sure you'll learn more about myself the more I write. Hope to see you soon! In my new journey back to the blogger world! WO!

---I do partnerships, If anyone is interested. I'll link back!
